The Bean Trees is one of the rare books that I had to read in school and finished. I remember really liking it!
I LOVE Barbara Kingsolver. Her books are so eloquent, and fascinating. On my bookshelves are Prodigal Summer, The Poisonwood Bible, Animal Dreams, Homeland, and The Bean Trees.
Clearly, Ms. Kingsolver is awesome and I am green with envy at your luck :-D
