When this event came around at our bookstore, I jumped at the chance to be a part of it. It was super relaxed and fun. She did her stand up bit in the bar and she signed autographs afterwards. I got to sit next to her and sell her book at the same time! A very fun evening!
I'm excited to read her book...totally surprised I haven't already. She had so many funny tales of her time on the show, little stories about Melissa Gilbert and Michael Landon. Some fun. Some dirty. It was a blast to hear.
Are you a fan of Little House on the Prairie? Anyone?
Happy Reading and as always, thanks for stopping by !

Looks like you two bonded! I was never that big of fan of the show (although I certainly watched it) but the book does sound like it'd be a lot of fun.
I'm not a fan but wow. Look at you! So cute. And what fun!!!!!
I liked the Little House series, but I didn't love it. I'm such a fan of Laura Ingalls Wilder and so much of the series was fabricated and it bugged me! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Alison's book though. I'm usually turned off of profanity, but it wasn't gratituous here. I read Melissa Gilbert's book as well as Melissa Sue Anderson's book. I thought the Anderson book was quite sterile and Melissa Gilbert went for the shock value and wanted to shatter people's perceptions. I thought Alison's book was the most real. She simply brought the reader into her world to discover who she is.
What a fun evening you must have had!
